Chart Observations: 9/1 ATL @ FLA

1) Tim Hudson: 82 pitches. (FB, Split, CU, CB, Cut). 6 strikes swinging. 2 Fastballs, Cutter, Changeup, Curveball, Splitter.
  • Hudson is a 6-1, 170 pound righty. The 34 year old has a medium frame that can add a little more muscle, but likely won't. He came from a high 3/4 release with his typical mechanics. His fastball has above average run in on righties and some sink. His cutter has some cut. His split shows the same above average dive it used to have and is his out pitch. His curve is a sharp 12-6 with slightly above average depth. He also mixes in a change with good fade from lefties and a little sink. He will throw 3-2 cutters and splitters. He isn't the ace of old, but he should be a solid innings eater.
