Limeport 3, Yankees 2

We dropped our game tonight 3-2 on a walk-off infield single. The ball deflected off of our pitcher's glove and it would have been a tough play for an infielder to make after the deflection. We are now 1-1 on the season. I led off and DH'd to make it easier to make a move to put me in on the mound (I was in the bullpen for tonights game) but my services weren't needed. I went 1-4 with a single. 2 of my outs were well hit, one was a fliner fly gapper into left center that hung in the air a little too long and the other was a fliner fly about 5 or 6 steps behind the right fielder. The other out was a pussy groundout to 2B on the first pitch, though he only threw me out by a step.

Next game is Wednesday at 5:30. I get a day off to actually go to the gym and lift!

Baseball Update

The Northern Yankees (the team I am playing for here) is now 1-0 after a 12-1 win yesterday. I led off and played second base. Went 3-3 with 2 walks, a triple and a stolen base. The triple could have been an inside the parker, but it made the score 12-0 and he opted to hold me at third (the ball wasn't even back to the cut-off men yet). And, because I am equal opportunity, I got picked off by stealing on a lefty on first move (he balked, but whatever) and made a throwing error (forgot to recalibrate my gun for 2nd base...). It is also funny how some pitchers don't realize how hitters work. This lefty threw me a 2-0 changeup 2 of my 4 at bats against him and I wailed everytime (because I like to cheat to hit a fastball in that count to hit it out). The best part is everytime he tried to use that to get me out in a 3-2 count and I just watched it hit the dirt and took my base. I will swing at it when I am cheating to hit it out, not when I am looking to hit the ball the other way and get on.

Next game is tonight at 7:30.

The above is the website. I recommend turning off your sound because it gets pretty annoying.
