Score Observations (7/11) KC @ BOS: KC Pitchers

1) Gil Meche: 87 pitches. 4 strikes swinging. 2 on Curveballs (2nd, 3rd), Cutter (1st), Changeup (2nd)
  • Meche is a 6-3, 215 pound righty. The 30 year old has a medium frame that can add a little more muscle. He comes from a high 3/4, almost over the top release. His fastball has some run in on righties. His curve is a 1-7 with good depth. His cutter has good cut and some sink. His chnage has some fade from lefties with sink. His curve is sharp and can be an out pitch. His main issue right now is command, as he is just leaving too many pitches in the middle of the plate (especially the cutter) and his defense is failing to help him.
