He came from an over the top release in pretty clean mechanics that have a nice hip turn to generate max velocity. His 2-seam has above average run in on righties and good sink. His slider is a 2-7 offering with above average bite and is a swing and miss offering. His cutter has some cut. Marquis kept everything down in the zone and just allowed the Reds hitters to hit weak groundballs. Very impressive outing and this season hasn't been a fluke. Solid # 3 starter.
