Chart Observations: 8/18 STL @ LAD

1) Mitch Boggs: 83 pitches. 6 strikes swinging. Fastball (1st, 3rd), 4 Sliders (2 in 2nd, 2 in 5th)
  • Boggs is a 6-4, 215 pound righty. The 25 year old has a big frame that can add a little more muscle. He came from a 3/4 release with a fast windup that is real scrunched up until his breaks. His curve is a 1-7 pitch with solid depth. His slider is a 2-7 pitch with good bite that can move like a cutter at times. Solid pitcher, but likely no better then a # 4 or # 5 starter.
